1. Acceptance of terms
By registering for, participating in, or otherwise using any league, tournament, website, or service offered by Flag Football United, Inc. ("FFU," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not register or participate.
2. Eligibility
All players must be at least 18 years of age. By registering, you represent that all roster members are eligible and that you have the authority to register them on behalf of your team.
3. Registration & payment
Team registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees vary by season, format, and city; current fees are displayed at the time of registration. Registration is not confirmed until payment is received in full. Spots are not held without payment.
4. Refunds
Team registration fees are non-refundable once a season schedule has been published, except in cases where FFU cancels the season or program. Specific refund policies for cancellations or withdrawals will be communicated at the time of registration.
5. Assumption of risk
Flag football carries inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, fractures, contusions, concussions, and other physical or mental injuries. By participating, all players voluntarily assume these risks and release FFU, its officers, volunteers, partners, and municipal hosts from liability for ordinary negligence to the fullest extent permitted by Texas law.
6. Code of conduct
All participants must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. FFU reserves the sole right to suspend, eject, or permanently ban any player or team for behavior including but not limited to: harassment, threats, fighting, intentional injury, repeated unsportsmanlike conduct, or violations of facility rules. No refunds will be issued for ejections or suspensions.
7. Photography & media
By participating in any FFU event, you grant FFU permission to use photographs, video, and audio recordings of you taken during the event for promotional, marketing, and historical purposes without compensation.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and the FFU brand — is the property of Flag Football United, Inc. or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission. Affiliate and partner logos are the property of their respective organizations.
9. SMS / text messaging program terms
Flag Football United offers an optional SMS program for team captains. By opting in, you agree to the following terms.
Program description
Program name: Flag Football United team-captain texts. We send captains operational messages about the league or tournament their team is registered in: game times and locations, bye weeks, rainouts and cancellations, schedule changes, and league updates. We do not send marketing, sales, or promotional messages.
How to opt in
The only way to opt in is the optional SMS checkbox on our team registration form, where the captain provides their mobile number. The box is unchecked by default. Opting in is voluntary and is not required to register a team or to play.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies — roughly 1–4 messages per week during the season, and more around weather calls, playoffs, or schedule changes. Few or no messages are sent between seasons.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. These are set by your mobile carrier's plan, not by FFU. FFU does not charge for these messages.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any FFU text message at any time. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further messages from us unless you opt in again.

Carriers
Carriers (such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your mobile number and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. We use them only to send the program messages above, through our messaging provider (Twilio). See Section 5 of our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Third-party services
FFU uses third-party services for scheduling, registration, payment processing, email, and SMS delivery (including Twilio for messaging). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. FFU is not responsible for the practices of these third parties beyond our contractual relationships with them.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FFU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in our leagues, tournaments, SMS program, or use of our website. FFU's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in registration fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
FFU may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or a notice on this site. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
